Setup
- Sit with the balls of the feet on the platform and the pad across the lower thighs.
- Set the pad snug so the knees are bent to roughly 90 degrees.
Execution
- 1.Lower the heels to a full stretch below the platform.
- 2.Press up onto the balls of the feet as high as you can.
- 3.Pause briefly at the top, then lower under control.
Breathing
Exhale as you press up, inhale as you lower.
Form cues
- Full stretch at the bottom, full contraction at the top.
- The bent knee biases the soleus — go slow rather than heavy.
- Pause at the top of each rep.
Common mistakes
- Bouncing out of the bottom stretch.
- Using a short, fast range in the middle.
- Letting the heels drift outward or inward.
